B i o g r a p h y
I'm Dan Pearce. My passion for music began with my grandfather, a clarinet player in the Navy Band. Guitar became my early calling, although the Medina High School band required my tuba playing ability for many years. I began guitar lessons at age 9 and never lost the love. I attended Berklee College of Music for guitar for a few years, and finished at Columbia College Chicago in Jazz Studies, earning a BA. I continued at University of the Arts in Philadelphia and earned a Masters in Jazz.
Teaching guitar has become a cornerstone of my livelihood and I strive to provide students with the necessary tools for success as a practicing musician.
My focus is your long-term goals as a player and I welcome any and every age and level of playing ability. I offer in-person lessons in the Philadelphia area and northern suburbs. I also offer convenient virtual lessons with a personal touch that surpasses expectations.
